Hi

Anyone know good maintenance plans that will VW will accept at their service place when sending my car there for services/maintenance?

Do you still have a vw service or maintenance plan active or has it already expired ?
Sorry for the late response. It has expired, even the extended plan I took with them. My VW plan expired on the 3rd year(2021), and they gave me Optimum Avis extended which expired on the 5th year(2023). I asked them to contact Avis to extend again, but they said they are not affiliated with them anymore and they still done a quote for me which ended being 18k for 1 year.

What vehicle is it?
Why not just pay for your own services and buy an aftermarket warranty in case anything big fails?

Polo tsi 2018 I got used to the service and repairs/replacement of other parts included(waterpump, brakes, etc) with the maintenance plan. Am hoping the maintenance plan would work out cheaper if taking a 3 year plan, and not having to pay for the service and a separate plan. I'll have to do more research I suppose

Maintenance plans are never worth it in my experience, find a good VW specialist and only do the oil changes at VW for the FSH.

Unfortunate, they definitely should have offered you a proper plan as VW has an official option to extend I think up to 8 or 10 years (but you need an active service or maintenance plan to do a time or mileage extension), you can even extend it online and pay for it.

since yours has expired already I would say you have the following options as mentioned above :

1. Sell the car and find another with a similar price (that has an active plan), lots of admin to do this though
2. Get a qoute from https://www.liquidcapital.co.za (they have service and maintenance and warranty last I checked but read the fine print as there will still be items or limits that result in you paying out of pocket)
3. Find an approved mechanic that charges less than VW itself but does a solid job (perhaps make a post asking for recommendations based on where you stay)

Much appreciated, thank you for the information.

Thank you everyone, I have a better understanding and have a direction of moving forward and see which fits best for me with all the help provided

Good luck, your first move should be to find a reputable VW independent, once you have that you are good to go because then if the sht hits the fan you aren’t going to get ridiculous bills from VW. Vw are parts swoppers not advanced diagnostic technicians and they have no desire or motivation to find sensible and cheaper repair options.
