Major updates coming to Gmail

Everyone got pushed to Inbox - why would they now go back?

Thanks. Already read the article. Same applies - why did Google force everyone onto Inbox.

They didn't push or force anyone to inbox  they offer inbox as an alternative (and experimental) way of handling email. I tried it for a while, didn't like it and went back to normal Gmail.

No there was a stage where it was "encouraged" in a rather blatant manner to move to Inbox. Had it not been for that campaign I doubt I would've moved over.

In what way was it "encouraged". When inbox launched it was experimental and that is how they communicated it. It worked well for a lot of people that it just stuck around. I have never seen google promoting inbox over gmail because in a way they serve different needs.

It was a big push from within the Gmail application itself - definitely being promoted as the "better" option for accessing your email.

Bullschit

Ok Fanie - if you didn't see it that way then you've earned yourself a lollipop.

I did view it that way - and if I did so did millions of others. It's an opinion, I have mine and you have yours - and sometimes they differ.

Tried for like a day and came back to the normal one.
