The VF+ represents Afrikaaner interests. The DA, thankfully, does not. So the VF+ will not join the DA. Same goes for IFP, NFP and MF

Open their mouths when the government (tries to) enforce 'transformation' on Afrikaans universities and high schools. That would make me a lot more positive about the DA :). As I said, it is my prime issue.

The DA can't ensure that the language survives, the people that speaks the language needs to do that. If you are one of those guys that keeps on saying Stellies, Potch, Tuks RAU WITS all still need to be afrikaans because that is just how they were build everything is just going to be changed to english because the majority will just regard the party as racist. Some things need to chance and I think the DA is on the right track.

Well I don't know about that I mean you do get a lot less of Afrikaans kids than others but I understand your concern.

Yeah but if you go back to 2000 vs today then:
ANC 59%, -> 63.36 up 4.3%
DA 22% -> 22.67% up 0.67%

its like 1 step forward 2 steps back

Why do you say unfortunally, just like it is a 'sin' to represent the interests of Afrikaners. Atleast they openly say who they are for.

Hahahah no man just education is a primary focus and unfortunately most kids can't speak it and neither can I after school :D Many afrikaans people have treated me horribly due to the fact that I can't speak it :(

Its just a language though.

The world is changing and I doubt in 50 years most of these minority languages will even exist anymore.

I am also Afrikaans.

Because they are a Social Democratic party rather than an interest group like the VF-.
One has a future in politics in SA, the other does not
