I live in an area where Rain's service is not good—sometimes almost none—during load shedding. I've got Vodacom as a backup. I use raintalk app for calling (while using Vodacom for data, but as soon as the Rain SIM card is removed, the app stops working. To cope with this problem, I've got to waste a SIM slot just to keep using riantalk app. Luckily, I have a phone with two SIM slots. Imagine someone who has a single SIM phone and is facing a similar situation.

Suggestion:

@rain_mobile Please! enforce SIM presence or insertion only during sign-up for verification and security purposes; once the number is registered in raintalk, you can bind it to that specific device and allow the removal of the SIM card.
