I play the AH...a lot.
I also used to do the DE sunrock ring merry go round. After it was posted on MMO Champion, the market on our server absolutely died with eveyone doing it and flooding the market with cheap infinite dust. It was so ridiculous, people were selling infinite dust for less than 'cost of production'. So I monopolised the selling of the crafting mats on the AH and kept buying up the cheap inifinite dust while charging crazy prices for the crafting mats, effectively costing them money. People have a short attention span, so once they gave up I sold the infinite dust in bursts in the AH and made 30k in 2 weeks. Easy money. Same with the post about leatherwork crafting and vendoring. When that came out, I bought all the leather in the AH and relisted it at 10% above the buyout price recommended on MMO champion. The idiots blindly bought 75% of it, netting me 3.5K on the same day.
The internet is your friend, people just blindly follow the 'make leet goldz' posts without taking into account the AH cut, the possibility that peeps like me will squeeze them. Easy to make money if you think outside of the box.
