Hi there!

Does anyone know if it is possible with the 5GB USB Dongle to run a game server?

Any attempt I try seems to fail. I have tried with and without firewalls (Windows XP and Zone Alarm), but never proven successful.

Perhaps I am missing something very obvious?

In the past (when using Cable Internet) I have always been able to tweak my system to successfully setup game servers for me and my friends.

I did contact CellC with this question and they said they are NOT (can you believe that?!) allowed to discuss CellC Firewall Settings with their customers.

So hence my second question: does the USB Dongle have a built-in firewall?

If so, who knows how to access it in order to set it up for small game servers?

Any ideas?

Cheers!!

:)

Would you want to tho? Apart from it using lots of the cap, the connection will disconnect lots, pings will be high and unstable? You will need unrestricted apn and then it should be easy to host.

HI scarfinger

Best bet would to get unrestricted APN.
That would help most of your problems.
There is a thread on this forum that you can apply for it.
