Makro partners with Wantitall

I guess it saves you the schlepp if you don't live near any branch, though I'm yet to find an area which isn't within decent driving distance of one.

Got this in the mail today .. http://mybroadband.co.za/photos/showphoto.php?photo=16297&cat=500

In my mind Makro=usually good proces
Wantitall=very expensive

Any thoughts about the deal?

Interesting.

Although WantItAll are usually expensive, they can often be invaluable when Amazon has a sale on PC Hardware. --> I've often saved R2000 on a single component when Amazon decides to have an Xmas sale.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this partnership, but if it means that Makro gets access to a wider variety of stuff, and offers them at low prices -- I like.

This has been going on for at least a month now - if you have a look at the Makro website, you'll see certain products available to buy online at the same Makro prices.
I reckon it's just Makro's way of selling online without the admin and hassle - seems a good move to me

Good news for me. Im based in plett, closest Makro to me is Port elizabeth (200km away). Now I can get what i need with a few clicks rather than 400km's of driving!

Well there you go, they have one customers.

I just wonder...

... can purchasers use their own Makro cards? (For receipt/competition reasons)

... will they honour specials?

pretty cool for the people far from makro, useless to me...

Hi Guys,

Just to give you some insights. We are honoring all Makro prices, along with specials. Essentially some products from the Makro catalogue are now availble for online purchase at Makroshop.co.za.

Try the service and let me know how it goes? :)

Wow,i thought its old mews,it's a pilot exercise for makro online shopping,i've seen it on their site for roughly 4 months.

Makro used to have online shopping in the past with i think it was called easybuys.co.za.

:wtf: I like it that I can buy from Makro online, but R300 delivery is ballistic. Unless its for a dishwasher or fridge. For something that can be couriered, anything above R100 is crazy. Theyresupposed to make money off the product not off the delivery fee.

The stuff that I would buy from Makro don't seem to rock up on that site, so i'll give it a miss until they do.

They also seem to have lifted WIA's T&C's almost verbatim..... thats just poor form in my opinion.... the T&C's for something like Makroshop should be completely different.
