Unlike our previous releases, this is a Solo XFCE build, focusing on bringing XFCE visually on par with modern desktop enviroments while at the same time keeping stability and speed a top priority. This is our 4th Release and a major stepping stone as we have moved away from Ubuntu and moved completely to Debian as a base for this and future versions. This version is built from scratch and has undergone extensive testing while using it on a daily basis.



Major changes since 3.0 :

Moved to Debian Testing.
Rolling Release.
Upgraded kernel to 3.10.3
EXTREMELY stable and fast.
Single Desktop Environment ( XFCE upgraded to 4.10 ).

Nitroshare replaces Samba.

Conky Manager featuring 80+ pre installed conky's
USB Stick formatter.
Android Device USB Auto Sync (can now auto sync Makulu with Android mobile phone in USB mode)

Compatibility, its an XFCE build, intended to run on extremely old and new computers.

We are working on other versions as well, infact as we speak im busy working on a Mate edition, here is a preview :

Question why use Nerolinux?

good question about Nero Linux, and i have no straight answer, I guess its simply to be a little different ? all other burners are easily available via software center or package manager, nero isnt :)

We can argue about the architecture for weeks, I wanted this build to work on very old pc's, alot of the linux users run very old computers. As i said, I am working on other builds, before this year is over i will release atleast 3 more, possibly 4, so you will have plenty choices at your disposal.

Kingsoft Office for Linux is still an Alpha release, works well when it does, but can be quite problematic at times. Prone to crashing on some systems & won't work at all on others, especially on 64bit systems :(
 
Ah well, i will try it out and then keep an eye on it, when i test something i really push it to its limits, i wont include it if its not stable, but i am open minded about stuff and often i like going against the flow, so expect my releases to be a "little different" than what everyone else is doing.

I wasnt home when i first answered this, and i do know i first used a 386 kernel, but i thought i had updated it to 686 pae, and now that im home i see i did infact use 686 kernel for the final build of XFCE.

True it is alpha. Works well for me on various 64bit machines. Works better than LibreOffice at least when it comes ot MS Office compatibility. Also fixed problems for friends. Pretty impressed with it thus far.
