I know and agree but this is one of those situations where many years will go by until someone miraculously finds said plane/parts/people etc.

How? Whatever the ultimate facts are, the true fact remains, your loved one is dead. Move on with your life.
 
Malaysian officials have flagged June as the likely end date for the search of Malaysia Airline’s missing MH370 flight.

The current mission, in partnership with a Texas-based company and their ship Ocean Infinity, will finish their 90-day search in mid-June.

Malaysia signed a “no cure, no fee” deal with Ocean Infinity in January.

Civil aviation chief of Malaysia Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said the 90-day search will be spread over a few months due to the time it takes to refuel the vessel during the mission.

Azharuddin said the search is going smoothly and is expected to end by mid-June.

Speaking at a remembrance event held at a shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur, Azharuddin said: “The whole world, including the next of kin, have (new) hope to find the plane for closure.
“For the aviation world, we want to know what exactly happened to the plane,” he added.

Man claims to have found missing MH370 plane ‘on Google Earth’

An amateur crash investigator claims to have found the remains of missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 while looking on Google Earth.

Peter McMahon, 64, an Australian mechanical engineer who says he has worked in crash investigations for more than 25 years, insists he has discovered the missing aircraft.

Flight MH370 vanished on March 8, 2014 during its journey from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with all 239 passengers and crew on board declared dead. Australia, China and Malaysia ended an unsuccessful £115million search in January 2017. The aircraft has yet to be discovered and the cause of its disappearance is still unknown.

By using Google Maps and NASA images, he believes the aircraft is 10 miles south of small islet Round Island, near Mauritius, an area which was not included in the search operation by experts. He claims that an image shows the tail and wings of the plane floating in the ocean. McMahon says he has sent his findings to the Australian Transport and Safety Bureau, which confirmed it could be the missing craft.

However, reports have suggested that US officials told them to stick to their assigned area of the Indian Ocean, the Daily Star reports. McMahon said: Four Americans were sent to Australia to oversee the findings of MH370. They have made sure that all information received has been hidden from the public, even our government – but why?’ McMahon says authorities ‘do not want it found as it’s full of bullet holes, finding it will only open another inquiry’.
