MH370 not deliberately crashed by pilot, say investigators


Australian investigators have rejected claims that the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 was deliberately brought down by the pilot.

Recent speculation that the jet was the subject of a "controlled ditching" into the sea was dismissed on Tuesday by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.

The bureau maintains that the pilot was unconscious during the final moments.

Missing Malaysia flight MH370: Aviation chief quits over failings

Malaysia's civil aviation chief has quit after a report into the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 found failures by air traffic control.

Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said the official report, released on Monday, highlighted lapses by controllers in relation to emergency procedures.

The passenger jet had been missing, the report said, for about 20 minutes before authorities sent an alert.

The aircraft mysteriously disappeared in 2014 with 239 people on board.

It was flying to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur and is believed to have plunged into the southern Indian Ocean.

An official search ended in May, although Malaysia's new government has said it might resume the search if more credible evidence emerges.

Five years ago, the flight vanished into the Indian Ocean. Officials on land know more about why than they dare to say.

The mystery surrounding MH370 has been a focus of continued investigation and a source of sometimes feverish public speculation. The loss devastated families on four continents.

The idea that a sophisticated machine, with its modern instruments and redundant communications, could simply vanish seems beyond the realm of possibility.

It is hard to permanently delete an email, and living off the grid is nearly unachievable even when the attempt is deliberate.

A Boeing 777 is meant to be electronically accessible at all times.

The disappearance of the airplane has provoked a host of theories. Many are preposterous. All are given life by the fact that, in this age, commercial airplanes don’t just vanish.

This one did, and more than five years later its precise whereabouts remain unknown.

Even so, a great deal about the disappearance of MH370 has come into clearer view, and reconstructing much of what happened that night is possible.

The cockpit voice recorder and the flight-data recorder may never be recovered, but what we still need to know is unlikely to come from the black boxes.

Basically, the Pilot committed suicide and planned it all on his home Microsoft flight simulator.

My take, is that he wanted to ensure he couldn't back out of the deed. So he flew into the uncharted ocean long enough so that he wouldn't have enough fuel to chicken out and return to land.
 
The Infographics Show did a good summary of it a few days ago. It looks like the Malaysian authorities may know things that may be kept secret for our lifetimes at least.

Many were deported to Mauritius and the Seychelles, following which the United States built a large naval and military base, which has been in continuous operation since then.
As of August 2018, Diego Garcia is the only inhabited island of the BIOT; the population is composed of military personnel and supporting contractors. It is one of two critical US bomber bases in the Asia Pacific region, along with Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Pacific Ocean.

months later it had drifted back from australia and was sighted just off port loius, mauritius.
the upturned hull continued its drift into sa waters , almost making its way back to cape town, its point of departure.

Capsized Sunsail catamaran found off Agulhas

CAPE AGULHAS - The hull of a capsized catamaran has been located adrift about 42 nautical miles off-shore of Cape Agulhas but it is too early to say whether it is the Sunsail which went missing about a year ago, the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said on Sunday.

“The floating capsized casualty catamaran has reportedly been sighted on numerous occasions and hopes are that she is the catamaran Sunsail that has been missing for a year,” NRSI spokesman Craig Lambinon said.

NSRI Agulhas duty crew launched a sea rescue craft at 3.30pm on Saturday and on arrival at the scene photographed the upturned hull. Rescue swimmers free dived to investigate markings and as much as could be investigated under the hull. NSRI could not positively identify her as the Sunsail, he said.

No physical markings were found on the catamaran to help identify her and photographs had been sent to the Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre (MRCC), family of the missing crew, and the catamaran’s owners to allow them to investigate further.

NSRI Agulhas attached a satellite tracking beacon to the catamaran which the MRCC would monitor to keep track of the position of the hull until Smit Amandla’s tug Peridot arrived at the scene to attempt to tow the catamaran to an appropriate port.

so one looks at the suspected flightpath of mh370, the location of debris, then consider the south african catamaran initially sighted off mauritius and its drift pattern, it may seem mh370 is not anywhere near australia, but around this area:

I find that entire business highly suspect.
The capsized catamaran managed to stay afloat from near Australia, via mauritius - all the way back to hermanus area - a very very significant distance, literally hours away from Cape Town, until the authorities became involved with a salvage tug.
Suddenly, after thousands of kilometers adrift, the catamaran "breaks free" and is never seen again.
