Did the entire average Chinese population colletively invented the toothpast with malicious intent to insult blacks? I think not. Just look at the average white SA middle class households who uses black maids and gardeners. Many of you live in it and don't realise it. I have North American and Europeans come visit and are appalled at our standard of living compared to blacks.

Sorry, but what is this "struggle" South African keep dwell about every now and then. There's always a struggle against apartheid, struggle against poverty, struggle against <insert your problem> People are what they focus on, keep focusing on your struggles and your whole life will be a struggle.

Go and read up on the experiences some black people have had in China. From some of the articles I have read racism towards black people is still very rife in the inland Chinese communities.

Besides, I was commenting on foreign debt, not bank/corporate debt so I don't see how local bank run fits in?
Bank runs are a consequence of the fractional reserve banking system and loss of confidence, not indebtedness per se so...where is the link?

In fractional reserve banking there is a VERY fine balance between optimising profit and minimizing risk. ( of failure = bank run )

When bankers ( and others ) are TOO greedy ( by issueing too much credit ) then the ratio of indebtedness to the ability to pay ( even in the future) becomes too great --
SO something something has to give.

After awhile even the whole tax paying population cannot cope.

It IS all about indebtedness whether individuals companies or countries -- in debt to WHO -- for how much.

Individuals and companies can go insolvent -- so can ( a FEW ) banks.

Countries have depressions ( and wars )

For the US to go bankrupt, government debt would have to reach unsustainable levels. Government debt has absolutely nothing to do with local bank runs or those greedy bankers of yours. Those relate mainly to corporate debt and and fractional reserve banking.

Yeah...one big struggle...it should be noted though, that the average white SA middle class are not just using black maids and gardeners...if I recall correctly...the blacks use to go to the whites houses and ask for jobs, begging for work....so they were given work. Can one really now say that the whites are using them as slaves? I think not.

Even other African countries which did not even have any "apartheid era" have the "struggle syndrome" and seem to be struggling all the time...so what is their excuse then?
