The fraud and corruption case against expelled ANC youth league leader Julius Malema and four others was postponed in the Polokwane High Court on Tuesday morning.

Magistrate Janine Ungerer ruled the matter would resume on June 20, when a High Court date for their trial would be set.

Malema is accused of having made nearly R4 million from corrupt activities. He is out on bail of R10,000 and faces charges of fraud, corruption, money-laundering, and racketeering.

Appearing with Malema were his business associates Kagisho Dichabe, Lesiba Gwangwa, Helen Moreroa and Makgetsi Manthata, who were granted bail of R40,000 each on September 25.

They appeared in the High Court building as the Magistrate's Court was gutted by fire last year, nearly a month after their first appearance.

Malema's friend Jacob Lebogo accompanied him to court. Several Malema supporters arrived at the court on Tuesday. In contrast to previous court appearances they did not sing outside the court.

Streets leading to the building were closed with barbed wire. Police said precautionary measures were taken to guard against unruly behaviour but, in the event, the only disruption was traffic congestion in the area in the early morning.

This piece of **** still has supporters & friends?

Jerry Springer has nothing, humans come in dumber versions that I thought possible.

Most likely "paid" friends who have gotten something out of his dodgy deals.

What? Only "fraud, corruption, money-laundering, and racketeering"?

He'll get off all charges with a promotion to boot, as is the standard for all anc cadres. :p

That all? Hey that Malema is a lucky guy that one!

"fraud, corruption, money-laundering, and racketeering"

The ANC and co. could probably steal the socks of your feet without taking your shoes off, a day doesn't go by where we don't read of their "practice makes perfect" dealings.
