Just hope something happens for a change... its becoming the norm that he gets away with everything in the end.
 
Nothing is gonna happen, Sam sh*t different day. Will get another 50 000 rand fine which he wont pay and everything will start over again in a couple weeks.

I can only hope they prove me wrong.
 
I thought it was supposed to resume today? Crowd looking a bit threatening there or what? :rolleyes:

Also, I wonder why we hear nothing about what's actually happening inside Lootfreely house at this so-called "hearing"? Every bit of reporting has centered around the primal primates' violent activities out in the street. I guess the whiskey tasting would not proceed as planned if they had journos in there asking questions and other such annoyances.

I also hope they prove you wrong.
The best solution would be for the ANC to deal with him as they did with dissidents in QUATRO.
Anything less will solve nothing.

Maybe that's what his intention was when he bussed all of them down there?

I doubt it, firstly the fine was from the Constitutional Court regarding the hate speach wasn't it? Not the ANC. Secondly he is threatining ANC top brass and with the little flag burning incident I reckon they are gonna crucify him as an example. They have admitted the ANC preocedures and values have been a problem since Polokwane (sorry, too lazy to go and cite the articles for you, but follow www.dailymaverick.co.za for good info) and they want to get some discipline back in to the organisation. They realise the way Zuma toppled Mbeki was a short win, but bad for the organisation over the longer term (we are seeing why now).

The ANC internal processes are however a strange beast, so nothing is impossible - I mean Yengeni is working for the Dept. of Defence again, a convicted fraudster who went to prison for fraud IN THAT DEPARTMENT!! Amazing. Maybe that is to cover the "arms deal probe" threat from Malema??
 
Lets hope that justice will prevail. If found guilty, malema faces a suspension from the ANC for 2 years as was laid out in his case last year where he had to pay a fine of R50000.00.

While the media is distracted by this farce, the ANC is busy passing the "info bill" aka "ANC protection Bill", great Scott.
 
This is probably just to keep the public happy so that it looks like they are doing something but in reality, they are probably doing nothing.

I doubt they will suspend him for more than 6 months(if ANY). The guy is powerful and has a lot of connections inside and out of the ANC so chances are he will maybe get a fine or some "political punishment" where he can't do X for Y amount of time.
 
And during the time that all the attention is focused on Malema

- The Protection of Information act is being voted on
- Nationalization is no longer a question of being implemented, just how and when.
- Toll roads have been approved.

Can anybody say 'distraction' ...

Every time I read current affairs threads I get more and more depressed :(

o'well at least now I have an excuse to drink :p No point getting overly stressed about this, what is going to happen will happen whether we like it or not. Not the best attitude to have I guess but ignorance is bliss.
