Malema is far from a joke IMHO, he is a clear indication of the lengths certain people in government are willing to go, to keep themselves in power.

I disagree, he is a joke, just not a particularly good one.

I never said he was a joke. I said he was a "clown". Truth is... we should not complain... he is giving the ANC a dirty name all by himself. Let him keep on with his antics. :D More and more people are moving across to COPE thanks to this fool!

I don't think he's a joke. He's a raving fanatic with tin-pot Stalinist dreams. Today he wears short pants. Tomorrow he's a populist demagogue ushering in the new dictatorship of tyranny. He's an outrage.

Just another idiot of the highest order, the worrying thing is that people this stupid are usually the most dangerous as they tend to infect those around them.

Maybe he hasn't realised that most of us are laughing at him rather than with him ...

Yeah. But the worrying part is that 'most of us' make up a small minority of voters. I suspect the masses just loove what he says, and that's even scarier than Malema.

Agreed.

Malema is not a joke at all. The laughing would soon stop when he lets his thugs lose on the populace

He might be a joke, and he sure is crazy, but he has a zealous army of supporters that could very well cause a lot of people a lot of hell. Malema and his iron grip on the ANCYL puts some serious pressure on clearing Zuma of all charges. Because if Zuma is charged, Malema will probably convince his supporters to take up arms, for real this time, in defence of their messiah. And lots of people will die.

An outside chance perhaps. But who will he be taking up arms against.
The National Prosecuting Agency?

I just think people like Malema will say anything to make the papers and the Journalists will print anything he says to sell their papers. Sort of a win win situation for both Malema and Companies like Naspers.

They could offer this guy a Directorship at Naspers seeing he has helped sell so many papers for them and helped inprove shareholder value. :D

Very true. I really don't know why people are getting into a froth over Julius...like any politician he will just about say anything to get publicity....and in South Africa that means making totally reckless statements. He knows who owns the media in SA, and to put fear into the hearts of their readers bolsters his street cred with the poor masses who are seemingly trapped in townships...Actually, I go as far as to say that Julius has as much bourgeoisie ambitions as the next guy.

If you had a competition between George Bush and Julius Malema, who would come out first, or is it who would come out last?

Malema....I can't even come up with a definition with all the naughty words I know.
One day it will all come down on him,if he thinks he can just carry on making a mockery of our democracy. This guy is just trying and trying to suck Zumas Nuts.....for what reason thats a hard one umm err *cough* POWER. It is sad that most people who vote for the ANC will just carry on doing so no matter what, most are poor and think the ANC are just going to help them but they don't look at the current situation they look and listen to what this tool has to say.
