ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema kicked a BBC journalist out of a press conference, calling him "a bastard and a bloody agent".

The journalist, Jonah Fisher, had apparently tried to ask a question while Malema was speaking.

Fisher has walked out of the briefing following the tirade.

Malema said journalists should not undermine him, especially at ANC headquarters, Luthuli House.

Malema said he was not threatening media freedom, but demanding respect. "When you are in my house you must behave," he said.

Malema said he would not attend AWB leader Eugene Terre Blanche's funeral because the right wing leader was not a man he respected. "He died before changing his racist behaviour. His death should not be linked to the ANC struggle song (Kill the Boer).

Malema said Terre Blanche's killing must be treated as a criminal case. "Our hands do not have blood," he said.

"The death of Terre Blanche must open our eyes to what our people are subjected to on these farms. We are not proud of his death, but the truth must be told," said Malema.

At least he learned something in Zim.

Ok, misleading headline it seems

What little there is in the story indicates Malema threw a fit and the journalist walked out.

No detail about anything.
Pretty useless report.

/me waits for more

From iafrica
According to Twitter posts by other members of the press, Malema instructed Fisher to leave the room after the journalist apparently interrupted him. The Daily Maverick's Phillip de Wet tweeted that Malema said, "Don't come with that white tendency, not here."

During the conference, Malema hailed Zimbabwe's land reform policy as "courageous and militant".

"Land reform in Zimbabwe has been very successful," he said, adding that the controversial programme was a "very correct method".

Malema said violence, however, should never be used to implement policy.

So madbucket is spouting about land reforms and "whiteys" in ZA now?

So much for that "muzzle".

/me waits for the "this is good news" brigade to arrive

Malema is solely responsible for the world cup disaster that is unfolding. Somehow i do not think that the BBC journalist would give us any good reviews. I would not be surprised if he suddenly becomes a AWB supporter. LOL!

"Don't come with that white tendency, not here."

Blatant racist

The journalist left before he could be bounced, to shouts of "bastard!" and "agent!" from Malema

Yelling threats and insults at international reporters, insinuating that they jump out of the 11th floor if they don't behave.

I'm beginning to think he's the best thing for this country, to get all the ANC's dirty laundry layed out there for the entire world to see. Thanks JuJu, always knew you were going to backstab and drag down the ANC all by yourself!!!

It's painfully evident from the way he's suddenly talking that Bob Mugabe has been whispering in his ear...

As Hayibo said, I wonder if Bob gave him taxi fare afterwards?

HEY, JULIUS! DID YOU HAVE A "NICE TIME" IN ZIM, INKWENKWE? :D

...best thing for this country, to get all the ANC's dirty laundry layed out there for the entire world to see.

I was thinking the same for the soccer WC. Masses? of people see the true state of affairs.

I think I know what the AWB's revenge is going to be. Almost scared to utter the words but its becoming pretty clear. The irony though is that, if it is what I think, then Malema seems to be working hand in hand with the AWB for the same outcome.

I think you guessed it. No Soccer world cup.

AWB is a tiny group of poor, old, farmers. They are weak and while they could reek revenge on a few individuals they are not a significant force. They don't have the sucidial mentality and $$$$ of Al Quaida for instance. This will blow over.
