A conversation on social networking sites with EFF leader Julius Malema was delayed on Monday, the party said.

On its Facebook page, the Economic Freedom Fighters said the delay was because of "unforeseen circumstances" relating to Malema's schedule.

The live chat was to have taken place at 11.30am, but was postponed until noon, and then until 1pm, before being set down for 3pm.

"Once again we apologise for the change of times," the EFF said.

Malema was to answer questions for an hour on Facebook and Twitter.

Government... in waiting

How often do these okes (EFF) postpone stuff? You'll often see articles where Malema & co. is running late. How big/important and busy can a politician be that they can't stick to a schedule or are they just that unorganised? I mean, if CEO's of companies listed on the JSE top 40 can arrange press statements or radio interviews, then those guys are on time; they don't reschedule 3 times in a day.

MALEMA BEGINS ONLINE CHAT

EFF leader Julius Malema has described as a "waste of time" his support of President Jacob Zuma while he was still a member of the ruling party.

"Yes, under the ANC the years were well spent but supporting Zuma was a waste of time," Malema said in an online conversation on Monday.

Malema was responding to questions on Facebook and Twitter from South African citizens.

He said he did not support electronic tolling, and wanted it removed.

"We're going to physically remove e-tolls because we don't agree with them," said Malema on his Twitter account.

E-tolling on Gauteng highways was implemented in December.

Malema answered questions in a straightforward manner without elaborating on them.

He reiterated that his party wanted land to be nationalised.

So basically he answered questions, without actually elaborating on HOW they would achieve their Pie in the Sky BS promises.

I doubt it's him answering the questions, especially from the answers I've seen thus far.

Say what you want about Malema but he was willing to sacrifice everything for his beliefs (Not that I agree with those beliefs.)

Zuma is using SA's coffers like his own piggy bank and Zille is too cowardly to campaign in broad daylight in parts of the city her party is responsible for running because of the high crime there.

Someone needs to tap into his convictions and channel them constructively.

True, pity his beliefs mostly consist of making himself rich (without paying taxes).

I disagree. If wealth was all he was after then all he needed to do was keep on being Zuma's sockpuppet. His financial/SARS issues only started after he burned Zuma. Before that he was benefiting hugely from the ANC tender/patronage train.

True, and I have said this before many times.

Then kindly explain to us disapproving Forumnites, what exactly Malema wants to achieve and do he understand how it will benefit South Africa over the long term if he is not in it for the money?

Lastly, why was Malema expelled again?

I think he wanted more (greedy).. like Zoombie having a R250 mill house and much more. Why settle for few million rand, when you can get much much more...

Malema doesn't care about anyone other than himself.. he wants money and powa.
