Mammoth mounts

So i seen a Mammoth Epic Mount the other day and thought it was pretty cool. Until i seen that you can actually carry people on it. I was thinking to myself, it would be cool just to be running through BG with a few 70's on it or to help a lowbie get from point a to point b. But im not really sure if its worth it. Has anyone used this and what have you used it for?
 
Yea the 20k gold tag on these Mammoths are the turn-off for me!

In the quests to level 80 you actually get to ride in some of these multi player mounts, even thought it is with NPC's. There is also the possibility of a Harley Davidson with a side car ;) (not sure if this is implemented yet?)

But I am 1 level off from 80, and my first aim to spending gold is to get all professions to 450 and then get gear crafted for raids.
 
The bike is crafted by engineers, but can be ridden by anyone! :D

Mats for it are apparently through the roof tho, :confused: havent researched it too much

Defo going to work for a bike... who needs a mammoth :cool:

The bike and mammoth are both achievements btw, Bike = Get to the Choppa and I forget what the mammoths is called....
 
Mats for the Bike are apparently in the estimation of 12000g last i saw.
 
ye, but you dont feel the 12k gold cause its in mats as you would feel the wopping 19k gold.... I don't think I can ever get that much gold.
 
Are these two mounts epic land mounts that go at 100%, or do they have a little extra speed for that price tag?

You can and probably already have. but you probably spent it just as quickly :)
 
A guildie bought 1 yesterday :eek: Didn't know people had that much gold on them ^^
 
i spend 8k in 5 mins yesterday (cold flying on hunter, epic flyer on my dr00d and cold flying on dr00d), now i'm 4k short of my mammoth - hoes chinese gold farmer hoes hoes

Speaking of mats ...

what's the deal with Arctic Fur? What's it used for anyway that warrants an 85g AH price tag?

Someone told me it's a very rare skinning drop, but there's lots of it on the AH and I already skinned 3 of them & I only just hit lvl 71.
