what's the deal with Arctic Fur? What's it used for anyway that warrants an 85g AH price tag?

Someone told me it's a very rare skinning drop, but there's lots of it on the AH and I already skinned 3 of them & I only just hit lvl 71.

You need it for high end gear. and you can use them to buy epic leather patterns from a nub in dalaran. They are rare and all I know is that I need more loads more. A better question would by is why is Heavy Borean Leather going for 300g a stack

I know you can swop 24 heavy borean leathers for the Eviscerator's Set Patterns (420 Leatherworking). All lvl 78 blues which own the old world epics. You need 4 artic furs for the Trollwoven shoulders and waist (440 Leatherworking). I am battling to get from 410 to 420 without breaking the bank lol. Need to do some skinning. But there is not much to Skin in Zul'Drak.

What pees me off is the fact that adamantite ore has dropped from 30g / stack to 8g

I used to make a killing off the stuff - now not even the vendors want it.

Luckily thorium & truesilver ore from EP still sells for a hefty amount

Only problem is, it doesn't seem to stack. Besides, isn't the bike mount for engineers only?

Then again ... I used to farm Nagrand for Heavy Knothide leather & sell it for 130g / stack.

Same for some Netherweave Spiderweb/silk something that I farmed in Terokkar - it went for 10g a pop. I eventually just gave them out to alchemy/tailoring guildies.

currently I'm sitting at around 15,000 gold (13k of which I have made in WoTLK. God I love teh new oppertunities which arise with new content )

and to behonest, spending 18k on a fuzzy-elephant with sharp poineh teeth... not worth it imo. Especially when there are other ways of aquiring a mammoth (Sons of Hordir, Stone Keeper's Shards)
