Man mauled by crocodiles

Johannesburg - A man was mauled to death when he fell into a dam on a crocodile farm in Rustenburg on Wednesday, North West police said.

“Apparently the owner of the crocodile farm was fixing a hosepipe when the water came on. The pressure was huge and he fell into the dam,” Lieutenant Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said.

“His employees were not far away and tried to rescue him by throwing meat to the crocodiles, but they were too late as the man was already dead.”

It was unclear how many crocodiles were in the water.

Mokgwabone said the man's body was badly mutilated.
