Man shot over Malema argument

Just took a look at the Sowetan website and that site is like the racial opposite of news24, with similar racial slurs but this time from the other side of the fence and the stories are also so different to what you find on news24.

1989:
White Man --> Person
Black Man --> Black Person

2012: Bad deed:
White Man --> White Person
Black Man --> Person

2012: Good deed:
White Man --> Person
Black Man --> Black Person

Oooh, the progressive racial strides we've made in this Country :rolleyes:

fixed!

Don't worry, the firearms control act is very clear on this crime. This guy will be thrown in prison and he'll never be allowed near a gun again for as long as he lives.

Fat lot of good that does. The guy could have been killed because an idiot with clear psychological issues was allowed to have a gun. Obviously, what ever measures that are in place to prevent nutters getting guns is not working.

Yes.....thats clearly the issue....not !! :rolleyes:

LOL. Yeah, whatever. I would have thought that the FCA was there to prevent poephols getting there hands on weapons and shooting their neighbours over stupid things like Malema? My bad.

I mean, if you aren't a little down-sided then you wouldn't shoot someone over an argument in the first place. The guy is clearly one koo-koo short of a clock.

Yeah clearly your bad. The issue I would think is more about 2 individuals here (many more in society) arguing and fighting over a racist prick corrupt piece of **** and getting so worked up over it that someone gets shot. The leaders clearly are trying to entice violence, they should be trying to bring people together but they are promoting violence and hatred.
The FCA is a disaster.....anyone who knows anything about it, knows that

Wonder what could possibly justify someone shooting an unarmed neighbour three times though?

Wonder what could possibly justify someone shooting an unarmed innocent on the street ?
Wonder what could possibly justify someone raping/killing boere on farms?
Wonder what could possibly justify someone shooting an unarmed family?

What happened here is wrong, no doubt about that. but whenever we talk about farm killings [add innocent killings] when it happens TO white people, you sure are quiet Ronjay....

;)

Bottom line is society in this country is violent and aggressive and we are headed down a dangerous road with our leaders promoting anger and violence.

now if the guy that ACTUALLY got shot, was in fact Malema...........

Rubbish. I have always been vocal about farm murders.

It could have been a knife, bat, car or anything else.
The firearm was just a tool.
The issue here is what causes someone to act out in such a way?

I actually agree with that. Problem is, a dude with a psychological profile that would allow him to use a knife, baseball bat, etc, should not be permitted to own a gun, regardless. I've been in many fights with neighbours over stupid things, if I stabbed them with a knife i'd be in prison where I belong. If I shot them, why was I permitted to own a weapon? Knives are tools used for cooking, etc, baseball bats are tools for sport. What is a firearm a tool for?

Well maybe you have never been in an argument over something so important, so fundamental to your beliefs?
A firearm is a tool for protection, defense, killing.... you name it.

Which makes a firearm a whole different thing to a knife, baseball bat. Regulations should therefore be more intensive, to prevent weapons getting into the hands of idiots. And no, beliefs should never be fundamental to the point of violence, that's extremism and should never be excused.

The problem with what you are saying is that a persons state of mind is not a stable thing. It fluctuates based on certain conditions such as stress and even to some extent age. You could as a youth be a complete neo-nazi and mature into a well rounded individual some time later. gun legislature doesn't cater for this change I'm afraid.

I believe that the first question that should be asked by FCA is, "Do you want to own a firearm?" And if the answer is yes, then that person is clearly not a suitable candidate.:D (just kidding)
