Johannesburg - A 44-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were killed in separate incidents in East London on Sunday, police said.
Superintendent Mtati Tana said the older man identified as Liewelyn Luck was stabbed with a bread knife in the chest after an alleged argument with another man in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A murder case was opened. No one was arrested and anyone with information could call Inspector Johan van Jaarsveld on 043-707-0600.
In the other incident, the 21-year-old man was killed after the driver of the car he was travelling in lost control of the vehicle on Settlers Way on Sunday around 04:30. The car went through a fence before it overturned.
Tana said the white Honda Ballade was being driven by another 21-year-old who had eight passengers in the car.
The driver was taken to hospital for treatment and a blood test.
The other passengers were unharmed.
Tana said police were investigating a culpable homicide case and they had also added a charge of drunken driving as it was suspected that alcohol was involved.
The deceased and the other passengers were from Fort Grey. The driver was from Sunnyridge, Tana said.
