Manual GPRS and MMS settings

Sorry bout the delay, took me a while to source the info, its the same as meteor setup:

Internet Access Setup
=================

Start > Settings > Connections > GPRS
Unless you''re sure you need them, you might want to delete any existing connections (Menu > Delete) to avoid confusion.
Create a new connection (Menu > Add). The properties of this connection are:
Description "MTN GPRS" (without the quotes).
Connects To: The Internet
Access Point: internet
User name: blank
Password: blank
Primary DNS: Leave Blank
Secondary DNS: Leave Blank
IP Address: Leave Blank

Press the "Done" softkey 4 times to save & return to the Start menu.
Start Internet Explorer & you should have a connection straight away. Try http://www.mtn.co.za for some mobile links.


eMail Setup
==========

Start messaging by pressing the envelope softkey under the screen or Start > Messaging from the home screen
Select "outlook Email" if you have it, or SMS (actually it doesn''t matter)
In the messages screen, press Menu > Options > New Account. Set the properties as follows:
Your name: Enter your name
Email address: Enter your email address
Automatic setup: remove the tick
...then press the "Next" softkey
Username: Your POP3 account username
Password: Your POP3 account password
Domain: Leave blank
Save password: Ticked
...then press the "Next" softkey
Server type: POP3
Account name: Enter your choice of name
Network: The Internet
...then press the "Next" softkey
Incoming Server: Your POP3 servername, e.g. mail.mtnloaded.co.za
Requires SSL connection: Unticked unless you know you need it
Outgoing Server: mail.mtn.co.za
Outgoing server requires authentication: Unticked
Outgoing server settings: Not required
Press Finish
Press Done twice to return to the messages screen you started on.


MMS Setup
=========

Start > Settings > Connections > GPRS
Create a new connection (Menu > Add) with the description "MTN MMS" (without the quotes). The properties of this connection are:
Connects To: WAP Network
Access Point: myMTN
User name: mtn
Password: mtn
Primary DNS: Leave Blank
Secondary DNS: Leave Blank
IP Address: Leave Blank
Press "Done" 4 times to save & return to the home screen.

Now configure MMSC Options as follows:
Start messaging by pressing the envelope softkey under the screen or Start > Messaging from the home screen
Select MMS
Press Menu > Options > Account Options > MMS
You can change these MMS Preferences if you wish (Suggest leave them alone to start with)
Press Menu > MMSC Settings
Press Menu > New
Set the MMSC Settings as follows:
Name: MMS
MMSC URL: http://mms.mtn.co.za/mms/wapenc
WAP Gateway: 196.11.240.241
Port: 9201
Connect Via: WAP Network
Max Sending Size: 100k
WAP Version: WAP 2.0

Press Done
Press the "Back" arrow (under the red "end-call" button)
Press Done 3 times to go back to the MMS screen

Dear Members. I have a program MMS Effects on my Nokia 6600. I used the setting as above with a port setting of 8080. When I send the mms the program confirm the sending but the mms does not arrive at the destination. Please help. Thanks

rather try it the automated way, my old 6600 used to just take the ota:

*123# select phone setup then mms settings, password to save the setting is 1234:)
