Hi folks

I am glad to announce that Marconi-New Era is willing to supply some material that will assist with troubleshooting regarding their modems. They are also willing to supply us with the supportive documentation for the modems, but this has to be cleared with Telkom first. I will let you know as soon as I have received confirmation either way. I will post the troubleshooting and help information as soon as I receive it.

We must thank Marconi-New Era (and James Futter in specific) for their willingness to assist customers and their dedication to supporting their products. It is refreshing to deal with a company that return calls and try to ensure customer satisfaction.

Regards,

RPM

You're right RPM, it is very refreshing to deal with a company who is obviously customer oriented. I hope Telkom can learn a lesson from this.

Hello rpm :) I have a problem... My father bought a modem from telkom about 6 or 7 years ago. It is an adsl modem, now in the beginning we were capped to 3gb, and in that time, we could'nt play online or download torrents ( It's a 384 line), then about
2 years ago when the uncapped adsl was introduced through mweb, we were upgraded automatically by mweb. Now we still can't play online and still can't download torrents, and on my ipod touch, I try and connect to the modem, it pops up as marconi,
which is our modem provider ( I think ) So I click on it, type in the password and then it says it's connected but with a lock sign. Now my dad must of put a lock to prevent playing online and stuff like that in the beginning, but now we want to take it off... I don't exactly
know how to take it off, so my dad tried to call the marconi company and ask for support, but it seems that marconi has disapeared off the face of the earth, can you help me?

Thank you
