Marconi Premium Combo Router Port forwarding HELP!!

O great TeenInvader Help us solve the problem of the "0" entry...

Thanx

:D :D Greetings one and all i come with news of how to port forward....

Simply in your NAT config just add mappings for the ports you need under tcp and UDP if u need...dont put "all" as Portforward suggested...try emule...it worked for me..

Thanx:D

Hi All! Router newbie has stumbled across the cure!!!!!

Goto : Config, Firewall, Securitypolicy config, edit the "internal - external" port filters, then modify to ensure that both directions are true. (One of the two was set to false).

Could one of you clever blokes tell me what I have done and why it works??? What is IP protocol 255??

Both directions of what must be set to true?
I assume inbound and outbound, but for which ports.

If i add the ports i wanna forward under
"Advanced NAT Configuration" and add separate entries for
UDP and TCP, and i disable the firewall then my port forwarding
works. But with the firewall enabled it doesn't.

Does any1 know how to let it work with the firewall enabled?

Port Forwarding on WOW

Hi, I have two pc's i need to open ports on the router for playing wow. Can i just add the settings twice for the different static IP's would this work?

Hi, how do I see what my static IP address is? Where in my router's internet's interface can I find it? Running Marconi business, in WinXP.

Just did a re-install and have noticed what you meant by "for which ports?"... Previously when I placed my first post I only had two entries lisetd under //10.0.0.2, Config, Firewall, Securitypolicy config, "internal - external" port filters. Now after resetting my Marconi modem (press the reset button for > 10 seconds), I have almost 20 entries here!!!

Anyways, my port forwarding still works. This is what works for me ...

1. Set a static IP address as per http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm
2. Set up port forwarding as per http://portforward.com/english/rout...kom-PremiumCombo/Telkom-PremiumComboindex.htm
3. Apply my tric to ALL the entries under //10.0.0.2, Config, Firewall, Securitypolicy config, "internal - external" port filters.
i.e. I edited all the filters so that both the incomming and outgoing directions are set to TRUE

I hope this works for some of you!!!

P.S. It would still be nice for someone to tell me exactly which of the filters apply to port forwarding (surely we dont need to edit them all?)

Thanks!!!

hey all...

for anyone still interested, the port forwarding for the marconi premium combo is under FIREWALL>ADVANCED NAT CONFIG>ADD RESERVED MAPPING

Then enter the following:
global: 0.0.0.0
Internal: whatever your static IP Adress is
Transport: ALL
External Port range start: 5198
External Port range end: 5200
Internal Port range start: 5198
internal port range end: 5200

from what i understand, you have to open those ports before you can do anything else. once i did that, utorrent automatically saw the port 6881-6889 range i had set.

ps: innitially i had set up a trigger to see the 6881-6889. this worked fine for about a month and then cut me off. once i set up the reserved mapping it worked straight away, so set up a mapping instead of a trigger.

hope this helps.

the full details can be found on
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Marconi/Telkom-PremiumCombo/Echolink.htm

:)

Thanks a million, I am getting full download speeds!!! Thank YOU!!!!

Thanks bud, this worked perfectly for me!!!!

I just have one query, how do you set up more than one NAT config? You see, i would like to set up more than 1 computer to this network with their own static ID and the NAT Config will only let me set up 1 config, with 1 static ID.... any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

HI Everyone!
I have a Marconi Premium Combo... and I have the same problem as everyone else...
I am trying to host an Il2 game which requires port 21000 udp. I cannot get it to work. :'(

I am new to this, Is there anything that I am leaving out besides port forwarding?

- I have set a static ip.
- and have tried numerous triggers and Reserve mappings..
- Someone said that sometimes it works with the firewall disabled , have tried this, doesn't work for me.

Is there a firmware update for this modem? and where can I get it? - it appears marconi web site is no longer working?

Please help guys!!! - am at wits end!!
