Both directions of what must be set to true?
I assume inbound and outbound, but for which ports.
If i add the ports i wanna forward under
"Advanced NAT Configuration" and add separate entries for
UDP and TCP, and i disable the firewall then my port forwarding
works. But with the firewall enabled it doesn't.
Does any1 know how to let it work with the firewall enabled?
hey all...
for anyone still interested, the port forwarding for the marconi premium combo is under FIREWALL>ADVANCED NAT CONFIG>ADD RESERVED MAPPING
Then enter the following:
global: 0.0.0.0
Internal: whatever your static IP Adress is
Transport: ALL
External Port range start: 5198
External Port range end: 5200
Internal Port range start: 5198
internal port range end: 5200
from what i understand, you have to open those ports before you can do anything else. once i did that, utorrent automatically saw the port 6881-6889 range i had set.
ps: innitially i had set up a trigger to see the 6881-6889. this worked fine for about a month and then cut me off. once i set up the reserved mapping it worked straight away, so set up a mapping instead of a trigger.
hope this helps.

Just did a re-install and have noticed what you meant by "for which ports?"... Previously when I placed my first post I only had two entries lisetd under //10.0.0.2, Config, Firewall, Securitypolicy config, "internal - external" port filters. Now after resetting my Marconi modem (press the reset button for > 10 seconds), I have almost 20 entries here!!!
Anyways, my port forwarding still works. This is what works for me ...
1. Set a static IP address as per http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm
2. Set up port forwarding as per http://portforward.com/english/rout...kom-PremiumCombo/Telkom-PremiumComboindex.htm
3. Apply my tric to ALL the entries under //10.0.0.2, Config, Firewall, Securitypolicy config, "internal - external" port filters.
i.e. I edited all the filters so that both the incomming and outgoing directions are set to TRUE
I hope this works for some of you!!!
P.S. It would still be nice for someone to tell me exactly which of the filters apply to port forwarding (surely we dont need to edit them all?)
