Hi,

Can anyone please assist? I have a Telkom Marconi ADSL router, IPCOP as firewall with Green, Orrange & Red network setup.

Marconi IP = 192.168.1.1
Red Net IP = 192.168.1.2
Green Net IP = 192.168.2.1
Orange Net IP = 192.168.3.1

My servers (Linux-IP=192.168.3.2 & Windows 2003-IP=192.168.3.3) on the orange network can see the world (Internet), but alas, I can't seem to see them from the internet.

I have IPCOP's dynamic dns service running updating my dyndns host name every now and then.

When I navigate to my dyndns host I get the Marconi's Web login interface poping up.

Do I require to set a static route within the router? if so, how do I do it?

Thanks for the help in advance...

When you say "see them from the Internet", do you mean the shares, web interfaces or what?

I think what you want done is some port forwarding...

Can't browse my web server from the internet...

either set up some serious port forwarding, from marconi to ipcop, then ipcop to pcs/servers, the type of setup that you have configured is known as a doubleNAT'ed config.

INTERNET->modem->IPCOP->Network
what you want is:
InTERNET->IPCOP->Network

when using IPCop, the simplest config would be to take out the modem loop, ie remove its IP Address by putting it into bridged mode, then change your RED config to dial up using pppoe into your modem.
Then when you try reach your firewall from the web, it goes directly to it, the modem does not have an IP anymore, its just an interface between ipcop and the ISP.

If you want to browse your servers from the internet, you also need to setup portforwarding for the given services, perhaps a good place to start looking is google.

You shouldn't have an IP on the RED interface. It should be configured for pppoe mode, and the marconi should be configured in bridge mode (default).

This is exactly what I want to do - use the Marconi 4 port as an ADSL modem only. I have a Linksys Wifi router that can connect (PPPoE) and has firewall etc all built in. How do I set the darned Marconi to only be an ADSL Modem? Telkom Techies cannot help me and the manual is useless.

PS. Would it be possible to send me a screen capture of yours if it is set-up like this? (obviously names & passwords blacked out)
