uses 10.0.0.2 to access the routers interface via Internet Explorer.. go into the wireless option under configuration, and have a look at wat the 'Key 0' is set to..that string is your WEP key...

First ask your neighbour nicely if you can connect to the router with flylead since you can't as yet access the WEP protected network.:D

no no no
dammit u are all going to it the wrong way.
the wep key is on the modem. ( there is a little sticker on it with the key )
so go and visit you buddy for some "QT" and u will be in :D
admin administrator i dont think he would change that but even so u will be on his net :p

My one friend does that.. he drives by peoples houses and then if he gets a wifi thats not protected he snoops around and gets their mp3's + movies and since he don't bother with their internet access they never learn :P

ok here is some truth. ( Telkom truth... the worse kind )
its all fun and games steeling someone’s wi-fi. but pls stop there.
if you manage to get your hands on a username and password thats not yours. 9 weather u steel it or not)
Dont use it.
I was checking out this utility that Telkom uses.
they can pin point where the username and password was connected what time what telephone number it was connected from ect.
and a few extra mp3's or few hours of gaming isnt worth being someone’s tiny's bit*h ( and he is not tiny )

The first thing I changed on my router was both the default passwords and the wep keys. It seems Marconi use the same key for batches of these modems and as telkom seems to supply routers from the same batch to a paticular location it is very possible that you and your neighbour have the same wep key. Allthough it is very possible to hack the key it at least requires a bit of effort so I would suggest changing the default key asap.

yup, thats why he does not bother with anything outside the lan. But yah its not new.. it been like that for sometime that Telkom can check which dslam port was used to authenticate, and thats like as good as your phone number, so people who steal acounts will get caught.

ye I knew that but i neva seen it action.
lol its gives time and everything (even all the usernames u used on that line)
