Mark Lamberti Resigns from Eskom Board

The truth hurts unfortunately. Cant say anything today without offending someone.
This country is way past FUBAR that I am sure of
What truth? Did he hire her to make equity numbers regardless of her qualification/experience shortcomings?

so she is/was an equity candidate or not?

or did this truth hurt someones feelings again.

Are Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander in the Protea team due to skin colour? Or because they are some of the best bowlers in the world?

If the latter, then why make mention of skin colour and quotas, etc.

YESanother whitey gotten rid of to be replaced by an incompetent cadre that knows nothing.
Not condoning what he did.

Then what are you crying about if you aren't condoning what he did? Just could not let a chance to be a victim pass you by?

The logic is they're quota players by virtue of their skin colour regardless of ability. Which ironically is the motivation for why we need to keep continuing with EE as racists still equate colour with ability.

so hiring someone based on skin colour is not racist? aka equity employment.

Good ****ing riddance. One less bigot to deal with. I'm pretty sure there are others (black or white) with a better skill set).

I hate qoutas but but when you still have people like lamberti and his defenders prowling corporate SA, I'm actually glad we have them.

What about pale males who can't find jobs despite being close to having Newton's intellect?

What are you on about?

Not directed at you. I meant how come he "well and truly believes the truth is open to interpretation " when Judge is Meyer? If he was Khumalo or Govender, his reaction would be understandable. ;-)

My bad.

But according to some Lamberti is the victim here who is being removed to make space for an AA cadre.

How is that an insult?
If BEE is what it is suppose to be it means she was the best candidate for the job.

I've read the judgement, and apart from the racial and BEE bollocks (which I tried to ignore), I am happy.

If I were to have a thousand rand for every time that my boss or some senior person lied to me during my career, then I'd probably be a millionaire by now. I fought the battles that I could, and sucked up most of the balance. I (like most of us) know what it feels like to have hopes and dreams based on a senior's silver tongue, just to be shattered when delivery time comes. The promises and lies are laid on fast and thick, but never materialise. There is a plus side though: personally it has shaped me and I guess that it has also kept me humble. I have also learnt, at a young age, the value of discernment and fortitude.

It is seldom that that the underdog gets justice, so I really happy that these two prïx were sanctioned. It is clear that both Lamberti and Janse van Rensburg lacked basic social skills, and that they acted irresponsibly, something which, at their level, is completely unforgivable. I also get the distinct impression that AMH, and by implication, the Imperial group, is a rather toxic place to work. Corporates should hire leaders who demonstrate fairness, who have ethics, who are visionaries and are unashamed to show their morality, people who command respect because of their demonstrated behaviour, who know the value of taming the tongue. Not trash like Lamberti and Janse van Rensburg. I am heartened that Lamberti was instructed to pay 30% of her claim as well as her costs, but quite disturbed that Janse van Rensburg got off scott free (apart from reputational damage due to bad press). I hope that he learns his lesson though.

What Andile Chowan pulled off took a lot of courage. Good luck to her, and I hope that it does not go to her head.

Rather unfortunate that too many of his like still part of management paying lip service to commitment to transformation
AffirmativeAction or 'Transformation' as you people like to call it, will lead you to civil war and death. Wait another decade or so until Malema comes to power and then you'll see the real transformation. Enjoy.
