Feminists have described a Marks & Spencer window display that suggests women must have "fancy little knickers" as sexist and "vomit-inducing".

The display at the Nottingham store is juxtaposed with one which suggests men must have "outfits to impress".

A campaigner altered the window so that it read "full human rights" instead of "knickers".

M&S said the displays were part of a wider campaign that featured a variety of "must-haves".

Another window display at the same Nottingham store is aimed at women and suggests they, too, must have "outfits to impress".

How sexist to suggest that women be judged on their appearance. It's only acceptable to judge men in this manner.

I only saw the juxtaposition of male/outfits to impress and female/fancy little knickers on Twitter.
Need to know reputation-bashing campaigns are often mischievous.

It's cuckold men like that chap who bring shame to us. He was probably not spanked as a child.
 
The only way to deal with the outrage mobs is to ignore them. Companies need to stop responding at all. Every time they do, it empowers them to be even more radical the next time around.
 
Well, if this was vomit inducing, they would expel their stomachs and intestines if they watched some degrading and objectifying pornography...

Marks & Spencer has said it won't change a display suggesting women must have "fancy little knickers", amid a feminist backlash.

The retailer was blasted for its "vomit-inducing" shopfront in Nottingham, which included a menswear showcase of "outfits to impress".

M&S said its festive windows were routinely updated and any changes would not be due to the backlash.

It also told the BBC it would not be altering its nationwide ad campaign.

I find the full human rights comment ironic, since women have more rights than men at the moment.

Family courts are stacked in their favour.

University entrance and bursaries are stacked in their favour, with the result being women outnumber men 3:2 on university campuses.

At least in the USA, men are denied due process when it comes to rape allegations.

And of course they are allowed to vote, drive and work in any industry. Of course they stay away from the dangerous ones, with the result being that men are an order of magnitude more likely to die on the job than women. Oh and men are more likely to commit suicide too. Of course, that must be because we men are the weaker sex. And yes, you can say that men are the weaker sex without being called sexist, but say a similar thing about women and you are sexist as all hell.

Now, there are countries where women do have limited human rights, such as Saudi Arabia. But, strangely enough, not many feminists dare to criticize those countries. I wonder why.
