Marmite. Yay or Nay?

I remember when I had my appendix taken, all I had for like 3 days was marmite mixed in water.

I use to love marmite, bovril and oxo..... but if I have one teaspoon, within an hour I become a cripple and get the most incredible gout attacks...... so bad that I cannot walk for 3 days....

Stil believe that bovril/marmite on toast with black rooibos tea is the best cure for an upset stomach or hangover.

Are you on Puricos yet? Worked wonders for me but I still monitor my diet carefully, fortunately Marmite isn't one of my triggers.

Why can't I find Oxo in stores anymore? Is it just the eastern cape or are they gone everywhere forever??

Marmite is fine enough, I won't say no to it on toast but Chilli Bovril is my Fav. On warm toast that's been dipped into tea has been a favorite forever I think. Although I think I did this with Marmite toast as a kid.

My mom would make marmite tea when we got sick. Just a spoon of marmite in a cup of boiling water, warm and with a plain slice of white bread. Was brilliant actually.

It seems so. Real bummer, as I like Oxo a lot. Bovril isn't a bad substitute though.

Oxo > Bovril > Marmite
