Who was it that had wall to wall coverage of the florida incident? Who had a town hall meeting with a bunch of raving kids, screaming for pro-gunners to "die", "rot in hell" or "burn"? Who's crowd would not shutup when someone said something that did not agree with the anti-gun tone and circlejerk that was that CNN town hall meeting or the Florida senate hearings? I've give you a massive clue, with wasn't the "whiney consveraturds".

There was nothing in my post that was even a remotely personal attack or insult against anyone apart from the twat the did the shooting. I don't answer for the people that made comments, i'm sure they are big enough to take responsibilty for themselves, yours and ScottishMaximus where aimed directly at my opening post and therefore at me.

If it will make you feel better, please can the rest of you conservative, pro-gun types stop insulting the other side. It really doesn't make you look good or help with the whole debate. I do mean that with all sincerity and honesty. Feel better now?

You're looking at it from the assumption that bolded part had no effect when it's entirely possible that the reason that the top and bottom are possible is because it's a hand gun and not "assult rifles".

Again you're the one that bolded that part. I merely pointed out because it was not an "assult rife" it didn't suit the left's agenda. Nothing else. Any other inferance from that was 100% your own doing. Mind you since you opened that door, Maryland doesn't ban AR (Aramalite Rifles, i.e. AR15) style or other semi automatic rifles.

I assume this is in reference to my opening post? What spin / angle are you refering to? Calling out the media for ignoring this as it does not suit their agenda?

I didn't just stumble across this.. there was nothing about it on BBC which is usually my first source for a snap shot of what's going on in the world. I specifically avoided both Fox and CNN looking for it due the bias of both. I went to Reuters looking for it, nothing. Eventually I searched using bing (yes I know but as good as google is I avoid using them as much as possible due to their leftist bias. Heck they've even started banning instructional firearms videos from youtube, but that is a whole other conversation). before finding the a link to the NYtimes that I used.

Yes it did i guess because I'm sick of them claiming the moral high ground when it suits them but ignoring everythign else and not conceeding anything when it proves them wrong. That said I'm sure the same argument would probably be leveled at the other side to.

@Randih, yes I got that too when searching with a search engine.. i guess you missed my point about it not being on the page when I visited.

Wait, so you are upset that a bigger tragedy elicits more coverage? That is the way the world works. 9/11 was front page of every newspaper in the world because of the scale of the terrorism and the numbers dead - do you then accuse the media of an agenda when a terrorist attack claims 1 person and it's not given the same coverage.?

Take a look at the list of school shootings in 2017

How many of those, in which only innocents died, not involving a "good guy with a gun", received wall to wall coverage? How many of those had you even heard of before? Do you blame the media of ignoring those too even though publicizing it would suit the agenda you are accusing them of having?

I have been thinking about that one. I think it is the wrong thing to do given the calibre of person who decides to become a teacher. You would really want to give guns to 24-year old journalism majors who can't do anything else and who overwhelmingly vote democrat?

This shooting or lack of thereof was prevented because there was someone who was armed and ready to take action on school grounds. That would mean actual security.

Of course the worse the incident the more the cover. There is a difference between proportional cover and milking it.

Florida they milked for all it was worth for days on end as it suited them. (17 killed & 17 wounded)
Vegas had more people killed and it wasn't milked as Florida was. Yes it got a lot of cover, but not as much and no town hall like Florida.
Texas's Sunderland Springs had more people killed than Florida and got way less airtime. (26 killed & 20 injured)
This was barely mentioned apart from the absolute minimum.

Maybe teachers vote democrat because teaching requires logical thought, not blind obedience to a Fuhrer.
