Baby Marzanne Kruger, who was viciously attacked in a house robbery earlier this year, was recovering well, Beeld newspaper reported on Friday.

Link

I still cannot get over this attack. What type of animal does this?

Beeld's Link

Marzanne is blind gelaat ná ’n grusame aanval op haar en haar oppasser, me. Francina Sekhu, in haar ouerhuis in Robindale, Randburg, in April vanjaar.

Marzanne het veelvuldige skedelbreuke in die aanval opgedoen.

Sickening.

This is why you do not hire domestic workers. I'd rather clean my own toilets than let someone who is going to conspire with violent criminals into my house.

I hope the little one recovers fully.

This is one of those instances where I think I could pick up a pick axe handle and beat the fscker to a pulp and not feel guilty about it afterwards.

Namibian way of doing things in the 70's and 80's.

Catch the bastard who did something like this, strap him to a pole and lashes with a sambok ( depending of offence ), take him out to the desert and bind his arms and legs, strip naked and spray with ice cold water ( night time in the desert is near freezing point ), beat the crap out of him and call the police to go and pick him up ( ....as both his kneecaps and ankles would be broken by then )

Yes.

Appeal to emotion much?

with cases like this....yes.

What kind of sick minded bastard would do this to a child!? That baby's whole life could have been ruined.

Let me tell you a story:

A few years ago ( approx. 2005 ) near my hometown in Namibia, a man was caught raping a baby under a bridge on the outskirts, when he was done he flung the baby by her feet and smashed its head repeatedly against the wall, killing her.

What happened? He gets a 10 year sentence or a R20000 admission of guilt.

So yes, I do appeal to emotion when it comes to the death penalty and harming an innocent child

You think the decision to support the ending of someone's life in retaliation for an offence they may or not have committed should be based upon emotion?

No, I think the punishment should fit the crime, animals like these should be executed.

Look at my story above. The man killed an innocent child and he gets of for R20000? Tell me that THAT is justice

I understand why you feel this way, appeals to emotion don't work on me though, as I've said. Anyway, I've realized arguing about the death penalty is pointless. I am certainly not going to change my mind, and nor are you I would presume.

I'll hand this over to porchrat as he has buckets more patience than I. :p

I can understand how killing a child is a capital offence, but is hurting a child a capital offence? Personally I would love to see them both seen as death sentences, scare the crap out of those kiddy fiddlers.

I'm sure that resulted in a new generation of peace loving individuals.

Hence, no real violent crime in Namibia like we have here.

Also, on a note I was pretty pissed off when writing that because of this article, so I'll take it back.

I really hate seeing innocent children like this getting hurt like this
