Mass storage sata hard drives for server build

Hey

I am in the process of building a Ryzen server for mass storage and virtualization of some services for family. Are there any places locally that are reliable and sell refurbished hard drives? Looking at like around 8-10TB sizes.

Does anyone have experience in buying them? New drive prices are too expensive.
 
Factory-refurbished drives aren't much cheaper than new, and there's no other real way to refurbish a drive. It's not like a GPU where you can replace the thermal paste and pads, give it a clean, and call it refurbished.
 
I see Amazon does like below. I'm worried about condition of packaging on arrival.


There's also Serverpartdeals.com and Goharddrive from what I could gather.
