The number of ISPs has increased six-fold since 2000

Well come to think of it, there are a lot more ADSL subscribers today than there was in 2000... thus a bigger demand...

It would be nice to get a comparison list (ADSL access) for all of these ISP's. Anyone bored?

Where there's money to be made, people will follow.
The Telecoms industry in SA is so lucrative due to the ridiculously high prices that people are/were flocking into it.
Hopefully things might change in the near future and we'll have fewer, but better, telecoms providers.
