Hi all,
In the last few day's me and a few friends using iburst have been experiencing massive packet loss both internationally and localy. After contacting iburst help desk and asking them to ping google they are experiencing the same problem in the head office.

This is not the first time it happened, a few months ago the same thing went on and after 2 weeks it got fixed only after i started making posts like this on the forums and brought it to peoples attention.

I would like to ask all iburst users to help me in getting this resolved asap not like last time, so please run the ping commands pasted here and call/mail iburst with details to prove that this is not isolated, they have a problem on the network affecting all paying users and we need this resolved asap.

Thanx
Regards

This makes sense now why I am getting errors downloading big emails from gmail in outlook at work and sometimes at home

:eek:WOO HOO what a night it almost felt like playing in JPEG. Anyone else had the same feeling?

I had a horrible time playing Guild Wars last night. Latency was insane. I did kinda feel like watching a slide show

Can't wow...browsing is slow...I hate this place -_- Nothing ever changes...I am REALLY getting fed up now. Been with iburst since the beginning and they just never can get it right. Every other week theres packet loss or some problems that don't allow me to do what I want with my internet. If I wasn't moving to UK in a few months I would have ordered my ADSL today...I have had enough! But then again ADSL is only a bit better as well. Most of my friends have ADSL and they have gone weeks with massive packet loss also :/ But I think iburst is the worst by far! I guess this is africa hey :/

Guys...surely I don't have to tel you that you need to ping more than just 4 or 10 times for a accurate reading? I would say minimum 20 pings for example
--> ping insert address here -n 20

I can also ping 4 or even 10 times and not get packet loss...the more you ping the more likely you will be to see the extent of the problem.
