Ever since I had that issue with the little spinning circle next to an unsent message, I refused to ever install it again. In my books, Skype is having a permanent outage.

skype went downhill ever since m$ acquired it...

only using it as a last resort.... telegram, whatsapp, gtalk/hangouts and others work fine, if not better.

Messaging in Skype sucks. Telegram fixes that and supports voice calls. The only things which Telegram can't do is a service similar to Skype-out, But SIP server can fill up the gap.

Other than some old fogies the world has caught up and soon Skype will be just another grave in the MS hall of allmost famous.

(I know Lync is now Skype for business - not comparing that to Whatsapp/Telegram)
