I someone find that the last season the 2017 was a tougher crowd. Competition was higher there. Then again we only 2 episodes in so waits to be seen.
 
Wow, some real contenders. I'm pleased to see more people doing savoury dishes this year: I don't have much of a sweet tooth so I get a bit bored watching everybody make desserts all the time. Too early to pick a favourite but I like:

Loki
Aldo
Sashi
Tim
Brendan
Samira
Hoda
Chloe
 
Multichoice is normally a year behind they will show the 2018 season in 2019. Well that's what I noticed in the past.
 
We've started watching now about 5 episodes in.

Is it just me or does anyone else find this season's contestants extremely irritating?

We'll stick it out but the feeling is sort of that we can stop watching now simply due to the contestants.

One or two are irritating but not too bad. A very excited bunch.

Much prefer the Australian contestants that the American ones. Can't bear to watch American Masterchef anymore.

Same. But I blame the judges on the US show, rather than the contestants. I'm not really very happy about GR's appearance as a guest judge next week, either. I like him fine when he's doing his own show but he's a total c... on these types of shows.
