Well, I got the flagship phone and is the unfortunate winner of a green screen problem. Is there anybody else who is experiencing the green screen/screen leak problem? I only picked it up today, and as Murphy will have it, is past the 7 days from when I got the phone from MTN, so cannot take it back. I will phone Huawei tomorrw, but is there anyone who is sitting in the same boat as I am? What to do?

Damn, so many problems. What can you do? Especially now that I am pastthe 7 days return? Also see that there is not much joy from Huawei on this matter?

Bought mine from Telkom, after 4 days got oled rot on the right hand side, very minor black blotch.

Huawei and Telkom did replace it asap, which was very impressive.

Well, I will see what I can do tomorrow, but again, as this is oas 7 days, I am worried I will not be so lucky. Did you get hold of Huawei directly?

No, Telkom did all the honors, surprisingly

I've read about the display problems, and am worried as well.

Wow, no wonder the weather is so weird these days. Will try and get to a Huawei shop tomorrow, maybe if I talk to them directly? See there is one in Melrose Arch. Will give an update on whats going on...

Just feels to me like Huawei is more involved in PR than Samsung, but they do want to protect their public image, hopefully you can use that to your advantage!

Going to try my best. Will contact MTN as well, maybe I am lucky

Think Melrose may be closed for renovation. Maybe try chat to them online or tweet

Damn. Don't laugh, but I have never tweeted. Do they have a online chat in their website?

I chatted to them for something else. They reasonably helpful. They also have representation here so may see your thread. How bad is the green?

Thats already good news if they are helpful.

Well, it started out very subtle. I thought it was just a display setting or opacity or the background. Then it became more prominent. Currently it is all around the edge of the phone. If I do the OLED uniformity test, you can clearly see the green. Some spots its already on the flat part of the screen past the edge. Even in nightmode on this app there is a green hue all around the edge of the phone.

No, not at all. And from what I can gather on other threads and platforms, many people received replacement phones but still with LG screens, and those ones also give problems.

Not yet. Phoned Huawei this morning and they said I need to take it in. Will go this afternoon to Huawei and see what happens. The green is starting to be more and more visible, almost snowballing.

Alright, the feedback from my interesting day.
1. Phones Huawei and the person I spoke to knew nothing about the green screen problem. He told me to take the phone to the Huawei Customer service Centre in Melrose.

2. Melrose Customer Centre also denied any knowledge of the problem (and the place is so well lit, its impossible to show them the green screen). The representative said they cannot help me and I need to take it back to MTN.

3. MTN told me I can book the phone in for repairs, but due to a backlog, they will only be able to get the phone back to me in 2019.

I am really, really pissed off at this, while the screen is getting greener and greener.
