math literacy

if the teacher is trash its best to get a totur. one thing ive noticed is that alot of Maths A's come from the white schools that cost 20K+ e.g northen cliff high school. the reason for this is white people get tutors for their kids. they get involved in each and evry expect on the kids life.

meanwhile black people have no money to high tutor and they send kids to schools where A's are only achieved in LO and history.

i went to a colored school and since from 2008 no one has ever gotten A for physics and maths.
I went to a government school and got 3 A's and 3 B's. That school must have a poor governing body, poor teachers, or both...

I also went to a government school in a very poor area... and I and many others got distinctions.

To be fair, most government high schools nowadays cost more than R20k a year. I wouldn't expect a decent education from a school that costs less than that nowadays.

I matriculated in 2009 and I think back then our school fees were already something like R22k a year.

Most decent government schools cost that, but the vast majority of government schools aren't model C schools and cost very little. I think most people would be shocked at what a poor state the average South African government school is in.

Lol, no. Schools in my area are all <R4K and have above average results.

My school fees in 2012 was R1750 and we produced a **** load of As.

Wonder what my school could have done with R20K per student.

dude what did u study in varsity ? i dont know how u can be happy with maths lit. its ****

Unlike you I am not just in it for the money :)
I have an Honours degree in biokinetics, doing a job that pays decent and I do what I love each day... oh how maths lit has ruined my life...

How did you do biokinetics without physics?

Good for you then. I'm happy you did well. I find it hard to believe a school can function on charging students <R2k a year, but if it worked for you then kudos.

Come have a look at under-R20k schools in my area and compare them to the over R20k schools.
