Maths teachers can't pass matric papers

Damn, Verwoerd made maths too hard for even the teachers to pass?

Wow...this is just really sad....an average of 57%, and a quarter of them got below 40%...too sad.

I am curious, what kind of education qualification(s) do these teachers have and where they got them from, especially the ones obtaining below 40%.

Maths - in a large number of schools - is taught by non-maths teachers, so not surprising that we are going down ... :(

Not surprising really, most maths teachers are people who didn't pass maths at school. Most people who do well at maths and science don't end up as school teachers

"...and kids, so we'll see as X goes up, and up, and it goes to... err... umm... it goes to Y, and they make love and give birth to several small degrees..."

True, this comes as no surprise. I truly doubt if any of these teachers even have a valid matric certificate.

what about the bonus marks they get for teachers (in this case the teachers themselves) being on strike? I thought that's how matric exams worked now. :what:

Therefore, the pass mark is too high. Or the paper is too difficult.

So will the ANC sayeth.

well you know what they say....those who can't do, teach. (highly generalized for every country except SA it seems.)
