Matric Results 2016

Results for East London have been shared on social media via the Daily Dispatch - probably unofficially. Why do we have to wait for the official results tomorrow if the newspaper has them already?
 
Well....the ANC have to keep their voters dumb and uneducated otherwise they will become tax payers(P.A.Y.E.) and then they will actually see what the ANC is doing to this country.
 
Why do people try to insist that the PASS rate ought to include people who don't make it all the way through to matric for dropping out. That seems a strange metric to me for measuring matric pass rate. This is not a school life pass rate

Passing matric is successfully completing school. It's very valid to be concerned about how many kids complete school out of how many start...

Why not have two rates - one pass rate for those who wrote Matric and a drop out rate to show percentage that dropped out.

Yes that would be best. The dropout rate as well as the percentage rates it typically takes to get through school can be reported in a separate event. Separate event so as not to take away from those proud kids who are celebrating completing their matric whether on the 1st or 5th attempt.
