Mattress Toppers

Yeah this problem took 2 years to develop with me going up and down in weight, the mattress even has a pillow top but this isnt soft anymore.I will probably get a new bed next year, just need to get some decent sleep in :)

Hmm sounds like you bought an underweight mattress then?

Oh wait it's too hard so I guess you got lighter.

Personally I prefer a much stiffer mattress but then the latex top sorts that out.

Had a massive fight when I last bought a mattress because it simply wasn't delivered as per the original showroom test.

Many many weeks and repairs and bull**** and threats later got them to take it back and went straight for a Cloud9.

Will never ever touch a spring based mattress again.

Yes I lost weight, so im boney, and the mattress is super hard now.2nd Time im hearing Cloud9 - time to google.

I have either one of these two can't remember for sure but it seems it's really just the weight class that differs so I would imagine it's the 135kg one.

Shot Sauron will check that out,

FYI posters - I have opted for just the memory foam with gel cooling. This is just the sheet of foam - so need to put it on bed, then mattress protector then bedsheet, no fancy complete off the shelf product,I found a place nearby that source if from the factory and at that price I wasnt saying no.

Gel infused memory foam goes for over R3500 for a queen. Here I am paying a third.

Just remember foam is very hot (thus the cooling).

Latex sorts out both those problems.

Possibly - but in my case my bed is hard and I want to sleep on my side instead of back sometimes. Do you think this would allow that?

* Religious rotate your mattress (nobody does it) first each month. This involves not just flipping but rotating, like rotating tyres on a car. You want to sleep on all four areas over a four month period.

* Inspect your base. It might be damaged. Don't laugh, but do brag if it is broken :) A knot in the wood could have caused it to collapse. You will be shocked to see it is just a cheap pine frame covered with cardboard sheets.

* Look at your pillow, a crap pillow will make the best mattress feel terrible. You will be surprised how this influences your sleep. But it is a personal preference. I sleep on a latex pillow but use to love the Simmons pocket coil ones in the past.

* Try and use one of those camping mats to see if it improves the comfort of your mattress before you go blow money on extra comfort sheets. To be honest I cannot see the difference between these two.
