Max Edge Speeds on a cellphone and PC

I got a lot of 619 tonight... and speeds are terrible. Maybe you should test when you are at work, assuming that you don't work from home or close by. Are you using vc software or the phone's software when you connect?
 
BB Boys lost a base station HA HA

All sorted well sort of! the local bb boys did not know that there was another base station i could be getting signal from and it does not have edge! i drove around and had a look see. and bam there it was hiding. it has the same cell broadcast at the one in town.... so vodacom will try to upgrade it to edge soon. but 691 error all day today so posting on mtn.:p
 
thats what i thought, thanx the fastest a every got on my n95 was 214kbps

So when asking Vodacom to downgrade my contract because there unable to find a solution I get told you must fork out R1056, For what I don't get GPRS speeds on GPRS so why must I pay??? I wanted to go down to Data messenger Plus @ R85-00pm. But don’t think I will win.
Funny thing when I was in the other place where I moved from I had HSDPA it preformed well but gave me trouble here and there….. Like slow uploads and 691 error. Which I am sorry I complained about. Really I am! I would rather have those problems then slow internet…….

have you tried changing the network modes on your phone, my brother had a problem like this and they hold him to change it to gsm mode(dual is standard)
