HVD format stores 1TB of data on a single CD-sized holographic disc (yes, that’s over 33 times larger than HD-DVD (45Gb), and 20 times larger than Blu-ray’s (100Gb) capacity).

wow the one question it raises continually is .. do we need bigger harddrives when removable storage is so much bigger considering media is the main uncompressable data that takes up space.. just look in you hdd you'll probably find more space is taken up by movies and music that anything else except perhaps games which have lots of graphics/media in it.
