MB W203 C180 help needed

Good day all.

Firstly, thanx for having me. My current vehicle, is a 2001 W203 C180 with the M111.951 engine.

Im hoping someone can assist me. Google doesnt seem to give any info regarding my blunder. So a few days ago, my left side spotlight bulb blew. Loosened all panels etc and unplugged the cable from the housing. By this time the Mrs called, and I left the job. About a hour later, I needed to go somewhere, and totally forgot about the cable hanging loose. I started, and as I pulled away, I heard a loud knack sound, only to discover the cable somehow got trapped under the front wheel, and the ripped out from the loom.

My problem, which I have been trying to sought for days now is, where in heavens name does the passenger side spotlight cable, fit into the loom? I see a thickish main loom, unravelled the tape, but it doesnt look as if it belongs there. I just need to know where it got ripped out from.

I would sincerely appreciate any help from the members here.

Find a service manual for that model on the internet and look at the layout in the wiring diagram, it'll show where the spotlight wiring enters the loom.

Ja the wiring diagrams dont really offer such info. Or maybe i got the wrong manual, or older. But thanx for suggesting

Unwind the tape off the loom. Look for the broken wires. The colour coding should be the same.
Unless the wires ripped out of the light then you will have to study the wiring diagram.
 
I totally cannot fathom ripping wires of so clean that there is no evidence of it, can't you trace the wires on the other side?
 
Good morning all. I managed to sought this yesterday. My initial thought was that ist came from the thicker loom, housing the main headlight wiring, it does by the way. Somehow I thought it was from further up that loom. Turns out it was further down that loom. The green wire black stripe is pos, and the brown goes straight to chassis. Thanx all for the advice on this. I appreciate it
