In spite of much appreciated help, I am still not able to update from Eclair to FroYo. All these sites do something but really nothing happens. Motorola site is a waste of time. Apparently they said an upgrade was due in June 2011. Well, if you could actually find their site (South Africa) that would be nice. I have been given all sorts of websites to do this and none of them work. Merely updates Blur. I want Froyo!!!!

You need to install Motorola Software updater on your pc. Then go here: http://direct.motorola.com/ENG/Soft...ountry=SAF&language=ENG&web_page_name=SUPPORT

Select MotoDefy, then it will search for and download the update. your phone needs connected to the pc, and in "Motorola Phone Portal " option
Once the update is downloaded it will install on your phone.
