Johannesburg - Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula collapsed during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

The 40-year-old former ANC Youth League leader however overcame the "sudden flu-like symptoms" and should be back at work on Thursday, government spokesperson Jimmy Manyi said.

The New Age quoted an unnamed government official who was at the meeting saying: "They administered a CPR [sic] and used a defibrillator to ease his breathing before strapping him to a stretcher and wheeling him out to the hospital... "

Is a difibrillator not for when your heart stops?

Does that not strike anybody as having HIV AIDS? I don't when I heard someone public coming out as HIV positive, but I sure have heard of a number of "sudden flu-like symptoms" deaths in our local community.
