Mbeki to stand for third term

It has been said multiple times that the ANC does not want to change the constitution (and Mbeki has said he doesnt want that to happen either) - and from what I have read having Mbeki as pres of the ANC would help ensure that Zuma doesn't become president ...

Basically I don't mind if he is president of the anc ... but I dont want them to change the constitution ...

Gr... the SUnday Times headline pissed me off: "MBEKI DEFIES ANC"

And then the story basically says, "Mbeki said he would run for president of the ANC if asked to, but the majority of the ANC does not want to to run for president of the ANC again". How exactly, then, did he defy the ANC?

Stupid inflammatory headlines like this really piss me off.

The level of journalistic professionalism has really started to scrape the bottom of the bucket... but i bet that headline sold the paper well...
