McCain or Obama

Who would you vote for in the upcoming US Presidential Elections?

Well, after Obama's idiotic tax the rich (aka socialist tax) scheme, I might be inclined a bit more to McCain's side (though not much).

This scheme is only going to lead to lazy entrepreneurs. I, mean, would you really want to work harder when you reach that level where the tax will shoot up. It is penalizing those that have worked hard to get to a point. Let all be taxed equally so all can work equally hard. No one works hard to be taxed more, it is ludicrous. Who draws the line and who decides on that line, it might shift year in year out depending on the whims of the "wealth-redistributors".

I can't understand this, there was this huge fuss (still is a little) over McCain's medical records. But what about Obama's records? Shouldn't he release them too?

Which one of these has he released (some might be trivial, but others are important) (Link)
1. Occidental College records -- Not released
2. Columbia College records -- Not released
3. Columbia Thesis paper -- "not available"
4. Harvard College records -- Not released
5. Selective Service Registration -- Not released
6. Medical records -- Not released
7. Illinois State Senate schedule -- "not available"
8. Law practice client list -- Not released
9. Certified Copy of original Birth certificate -- Not released
10. Embossed, signed paper Certification of Live Birth -- Not released
11. Harvard Law Review articles published -- None
12. University of Chicago scholarly articles -- None
 
If only we had presidential candidates with half the moral fibre of these two, but alas we have Jacob Zuma that cheats on his five wives by raping a young HIV+ girl the takes a shower to counter the AIDS risk, and abuses the justice system to avoid joining his corruption co-accused in prison (hospital).
And another sad thing is that he has loads of supporters that think he's wonderful when he signs "give me my machine gun" - what hope is there!

Obama without question. The Republicans have ruined America and subsequently the world. They've also ruined America's image. We definitely need change.

I wonder, have you actually read the proposed tax plans or are you going on news headlines?
 
So, you want to have an explanation of how I understand it and not links where it explains it? And if I am wrong in my understanding (which I probably will be on many issues, I am no economist, but I am able to follow links), you want to criticize me for it like in post #34.
Don't you like links explaining it, or don't you like me for posting links, or don't you like the links?

I would have expected that before passing comment you would have at least done some reading from both sides of the story and would therefore be capable of having an educated opinion on the matter rather than just regurgitating links to other people's opinions.

My opinion remains the same. Penalizing 5% (the rich) by not lowering their taxes too is unfair. Typical wealth redistribution. Besides, by not giving a tax break to high income earners (like low income earners) it in many cases penalizes the job-providers of the economy. Create wealth through hard work, don't redistribute it.

Does the fact that high-income earners are going back to the same levels or less as the pre-bush tax cuts make any difference in your thinking? How did you feel about bush's tax cuts then?
