The vouchers element I completely get.. but has everyone somehow forgotten to just phone a takeaway and place the order directly with them?

I must admit that I prefer ordering directly from stores, especially if they have their own app, so you don't need to speak to anyone.

How many times have they gotten it wrong? SA language barriers do exist. Especially if you are doing larger orders.

Ordering with a website or an app relatively cheap for the restaurant to organise, and it allows them to have less incorrect orders. Also allows them to collect payment at the time of purchase, which adds another level of convenience.

Just catch up with the times boomer.

Some people really don't like taking to others, and are happy to pay extra. If they were not, Uber Eats/Mr D would have removed the option.

I missed it when MCDs used to deliver directly. UBER and MR D's prices are just too much to justify a delivery.

Students mostly. Since lockdown I gave T/A's a miss. Prices are ridiculous.And not missing it much.

KFC have offered this for ages, nothing new or even newsworthy here

Yeah yeah, great technology, now just fix the food itself.. Start by taking the 19 other chemicals out of the chips.. And so on.

Nothing wrong, with buying fresh potatoes, and making your own wholesome, healthy chips, minus the McD chemical pollution.

If I use it it is only for collection orders, so didnt really check the prices for delivery

Ordering directly yes, but I am app overloaded. My mid range phone slows down with every new app added. So I just order online.
