As a McLaren fan, I am really disappointed in Ron Dennis and his team orders.
I understand what's at stake, but as far as I am concerned, the whole sport is put into another category with team orders. I would have loved to see Alonso and Hamilton have it out for the top spot at Monaco - that race needs all the help it can get. I wondered why Lewis had a long face at the press conference... even his dad looked subdued.

Well wouldn't have helped much if they both ended up in the wall racing each other.

It would have helped... racing... F1... maybe not McLaren... but then when so much (money) is at stake, the sport goes out the window as usual.

senna and prost i wish we still had those days

neither cared about team orders and on a few occations took each other out

this is why ive stopped watching formula 1

its so controlled now i hate watching it

racing each other may be an option on an open track, but certainly not at Monte Carlo. The only way one can pass is if your car is significantly faster than the one in front, which isn't the case with the McClarens.

With the way points are allocated, there's no way any team would be stupid enough to throw away a 1,2 point win.

Actually, I think better cornering can do it at Monte Carlo, speed of the car aside. It's about putting the guy ahead under pressure and taking the gap. It's been done before (in past races where the cars were more similar in terms of overall speed). DC was pretty good at it in the past.

...and beckham scores...that makes the constructors championship Adidas with 46 points and Reebok with 30.

Good move from Ferdinand to pass to Beckham instead of Scholes, as otherwise the Reebok-wearing Scholes couldve evened up the championship.

There, I've said it. Nobody gives a flying fsck about the constructors championship. All we care about is the driver.

The whole Monte Carlo race should be canned , its a ridiculous race .

i agree!

with the whole - not possible to overtake - due 2 space limitations its not proper racing!

it looks cool - but it really is a waste...go read every driver's comments - they all had issues with traffic.

Yeah, it's one of those "nice to race at home" tracks for most of the drivers who live there for tax breaks...
Those that like it, like it cos they don't have to sleep in a hotel is my guess.

unfortunately the people who provide the cars and technology do. they are not doing it out of the goodness of their heart.

this is a non-issue which people are making something big out of. Even if ferrari, whom I despise, had done this i would have no issue with. What's more it's not even like Hamilton had been looking like challenging Alonso. It would have been stupid for McLaren not to think of their priorities first. And that is why it isn't team orders. Team orders relates to how a team maximises points scoring for a certain driver and not for itself.

I've lost interest in F1 long ago - when it stopped being a competitive sport. It's now overly controlled - almost robotic - and too predictable. A huge waste of money IMO.

i agree it died long ago when ferrari took over and team's didnt race each other anymore

i watch the moto gp, have u seen those okes race omw they dont care about the team, its what foruma 1 used to be :(

It is bloody racism ... the black dude would have won if the "man" and "system" did not keep him down.

Screw Alonso and Ron Dennis and Ecclestone.

he coloured lol tibby always some racist thing happening somewhere eh rofl

But if you ain't white then you are ..... ????.
Also "Coloured" is an apartheid definition and besides he is from the UK and not S.A.

Get your definitions right.

actually the coloured and indians where not treated as badly as the blacks

they not white so they must be black lol

It's funny how all of a sudden it's racism cos Hamilton isn't white...this has nothing to do with race. Don't bring that stuff into it.
